The Mykhailo-Kotsiubynsky Lyceum, located in the village of Mykhailo-Kotsiubynske just outside Chernihiv, has been struck twice by Russian forces since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in February 2022. Despite the damage caused by both attacks, the school is pressing ahead with preparations for the upcoming academic year. School officials have outlined plans covering the learning schedule, the current state of repairs to the building, and the safety measures that will be in place to protect students during the new term.
