Emergency pump station shutdown in Chernihiv: reduced water supply expected on 23 September from midnight to 3 a.m.

One of Chernihiv's water supply pump stations will be temporarily shut down overnight on 22–23 September. Residents on upper floors are advised to store water in advance.

Due to technical work related to preparing the city's infrastructure for the winter season, one of Chernihiv's water supply pump stations will undergo an emergency shutdown. The shutdown is scheduled for 23 September from 00:00 to 03:00. During this period, overall water pressure across the city's supply network will drop. Possible effects for residents include: — interruption or significant reduction of water supply on the upper floors of multi-storey buildings; — temporary appearance of sediment in tap water after normal network operation resumes. Municipal utility workers are asking residents to store an adequate supply of water before the shutdown begins and to approach the situation with understanding. The work is being carried out as part of preparations to bring the city's infrastructure through the winter period.
