Today would have been the 52nd birthday of Chernihiv special unit officer and police captain Volodymyr Nastych. Instead, he remains forever 47 — a defender who fell protecting his home city. 28 February 2022 was supposed to be Volodymyr's final working day before a well-earned retirement. It became the last day of his life: the police captain was killed while defending Chernihiv against Russian forces. On the Hero's birthday, his comrades-in-arms gathered at the Yatsevo cemetery in Chernihiv to pay their respects and bid a final tribute to Volodymyr Nastych.
