Russian Drone Sets Rooftop Ablaze in Chernihiv: Fire Spreads Across 100 Square Metres

A Russian drone strike ignited the roof of a disused building in Chernihiv. Emergency services extinguished the blaze, which covered an area of 100 square metres.

The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Chernihiv Oblast has reported a fire that broke out as a result of a Russian drone attack. The flames engulfed the rooftop of a building no longer in active use, spreading across an area of 100 square metres before emergency crews brought the fire under control. Earlier, Dmytro Bryzhinskyi, head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, had reported that on 23 August a jet-powered Shahed drone struck one of the city's administrative buildings.
