Emergency Water Shutdown on Polubotka and Honcha Streets in Chernihiv

A burst on a water main at 11 Hetman Polubotka Street cut off water supply to two residential buildings and a heating substation from 5:40 p.m. on 7 August 2026. Repair work is expected to be completed by 8:00 p.m. on 10 August.

At 5:40 p.m. on 7 August 2026, an emergency water shutoff was introduced in Chernihiv following a rupture in a 100 mm diameter water main at 11 Hetman Polubotka Street. The following facilities have been left without water supply: - the five-storey apartment building at 11 Hetman Polubotka Street; - the two-storey apartment building at 25 Honcha Street; - the TKE heating substation at 10 Shevchenko Street. The municipal utility Chernihivvodokanal will arrange drinking water delivery for residents of the affected buildings.
