Yesterday, at around 11 a.m., patrol inspectors were on duty along Lyubetska Street when they stopped a Mitsubishi Lancer for a traffic violation. Behind the wheel was a 40-year-old man who displayed visible signs of alcohol intoxication. The driver agreed to take a roadside breath test using a Dräger device. The result came back at 2.21 per mille, exceeding the legally permitted blood alcohol level eleven times over. Further checks revealed that the man had been stripped of his driving licence and that this was not his first time getting behind the wheel while intoxicated. Patrol officers drew up administrative charges against him and removed him from driving the vehicle.
