Chernihiv to raise tuition fees at arts schools from 2026
The executive committee of Chernihiv City Council has approved new monthly tuition rates for out-of-school arts education institutions. The updated fees will take effect on 1 September 2026.

On 3 September, the executive committee of Chernihiv City Council approved new monthly tuition fees for the city's out-of-school arts education institutions. The previous rates had been in force since 1 January 2024; the updated ones will come into effect on 1 September 2026. New monthly tuition rates: — Violin, cello — 350 hryvnias — Piano — 450 hryvnias — Guitar, electric guitar — 480 hryvnias — Bayan, accordion — 300 hryvnias — Bandura — 300 hryvnias — Wind and percussion instruments — 350 hryvnias — Choir and solo singing — 420 hryvnias — Pop/variety singing — 520 hryvnias — Choreography — 400 hryvnias — Fine arts and visual arts department — 450 hryvnias — Theatre department — 420 hryvnias — Synthesizer — 450 hryvnias — Domra, balalaika — 290 hryvnias City council officials explained that the decision reflects increases in the minimum wage, utility costs, materials, and other expenses required to support the educational process.
