On 30 August 2026 at 09:10, a 50 mm water main burst at 25 Karpenko-Kary Street in Chernihiv. As a result of the incident, water supply to the affected section was shut off. The following addresses are without water: — a two-storey apartment building at 40 Karpenko-Kary Street; — private households at 30, 32, 34, 36, and 38 Karpenko-Kary Street; — organisations located at 40 Karpenko-Kary Street: Chernihivshliakhbudpostach (OJSC), the Chernihiv Oblast Charitable Organisation Aratta, and the Centre for Medical, Social, and Physical Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities. The water main is privately owned, so all repair work is being carried out and funded by its owner. Drinking water delivery has been arranged for the duration of the repair.
