Water Main Break in Staryi Bilous Cuts Supply to Several Streets Until 5 September

A burst on a 100 mm water main has left residents of three streets in the village of Staryi Bilous without cold water since 28 August, with service restoration expected by 5 September 2026.

On 28 August 2026 at 15:00, a water main with a diameter of 100 mm burst on Poltavska Street in the village of Staryi Bilous. Emergency repair works are under way, and cold water supply has been shut off to residents at the following addresses: - Yahidna Street, buildings No. 1–39; - Poltavska Street, buildings No. 1–25; - Naberezhna Street, buildings No. 39–67. The municipal utility Chernihivvodokanal is organising water deliveries to affected residents during the outage. Centralised water supply is scheduled to be restored by 5 September 2026.
