Government approves new operating rules for medical facilities during air raid alerts

Under a yellow alert, hospitals continue working normally; under a red alert, staff and patients must move to shelters. Emergency medical care operates without interruption regardless of the threat level.

The Ukrainian government has approved new rules governing the operation of medical facilities during air raid alerts. The decision was announced by Prime Minister Koretsky. Under a yellow alert level, medical facilities continue to operate in normal mode but are required to ensure that patients and staff have access to shelters. Under a red alert level, patients and medical personnel must move to shelters. An exception is made in cases where interrupting care would pose a direct threat to a person's life. Emergency medical services will operate continuously regardless of the air raid alert level. The new rules apply to medical facilities across Ukraine, including those in Chernihiv.
