Patrol Police Remind Drivers Not to Park in Spaces Reserved for People with Disabilities

Police, together with veterans' community representatives, are conducting preventive outreach across the city and urging drivers to respect the parking rights of people with disabilities.

Parking spaces designated for people with disabilities are positioned closer to building entrances to provide convenient, unobstructed access to necessary facilities. For a person who requires such a space, even a few extra metres can make a significant difference. Patrol police officers, working alongside representatives of the local veterans' community, have been carrying out preventive outreach activities in Chernihiv, reminding drivers of the importance of observing parking rules in specially designated spaces. When a driver leaves their vehicle in a disability parking space without the appropriate permit, they take up a spot that another person may urgently need. Police are calling on all drivers to comply with the Road Traffic Rules and to respect everyone's right to accessible, barrier-free mobility.
