Water main break on Shevchenko Street leaves residents without supply until September 6

A rupture in a 400 mm water main at 106 Shevchenko Street has cut off water supply to residential buildings and a commercial consumer on Shevchenko Street since August 27.

Water supply in Chernihiv was shut off at 11:30 on August 27, 2026, following a break in a 400 mm trunk water main at 106 Shevchenko Street. The following properties have been left without water: — private residential buildings at 89 and 91 Shevchenko Street; — a commercial consumer at 91 Shevchenko Street. Municipal utility workers are arranging drinking water deliveries for affected residents. Water supply is expected to be restored by September 6, 2026.
