Chernihiv Struck by Drone Attack: Casualties Reported, Including Children
A Russian drone attack on Chernihiv has killed and wounded a number of residents, including children, damaging residential buildings and critical infrastructure. August 27 has been declared a Day of Mourning.

Chernihiv came under another enemy strike as Russian attack drones hit the city, killing and injuring residents. Children are among those reported wounded. The attack damaged private residential buildings, critical infrastructure facilities, and warehouse premises. Rescuers and emergency services arrived immediately at the sites of impact, providing first aid, ensuring access for emergency vehicles, and assisting with rescue operations. Injured residents were escorted to hospital to receive medical care. By decision of the city authorities, August 27 has been declared a Day of Mourning in Chernihiv in memory of those killed in the strike. The city extends its sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims and wishes a swift recovery to all those injured.
