On 25 August, Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi presented government awards on the occasion of Independence Day to people who contribute to Ukraine's resilience. Among those honoured was Serhiy Hulyi, a foreman at the Novhorod-Siverskyi production unit of the Northern Service Zone of the 35 kV and Above Substation Service at JSC Chernihivoblenergo. He returned home with the Honorary Certificate of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Serhiy Hulyi has worked at Chernihivoblenergo since 2013. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the nature of his unit's work has changed dramatically: instead of routine equipment maintenance, specialists continuously restore energy infrastructure damaged by enemy strikes — all under conditions of constant danger. Their daily work has a direct impact on whether households across Chernihiv Oblast have electricity.
