Yesterday at around 6:00 p.m., patrol officers Yana Kovtun and Serhiy Kruhol, while patrolling highway R-69 (Kyiv–Vyshhorod–Desna–Chernihiv) near the village of Zarichne, found a woman with a leg injury beside a pedestrian crossing. The officers immediately administered first aid, applying a pressure bandage to stop the bleeding. A medical team arrived shortly afterwards and took over care of the victim. It emerged that the woman had been struck by a motorcyclist who left the scene after the collision. The officers established a description of the suspected driver, passed the information to an investigator, and sent out an alert to other patrol units to help identify and locate the offender. Police wish the victim a swift recovery and continue to search for the motorcyclist.
