Late last night, during the curfew, inspectors at the Kipti road patrol police station stopped a Mazda vehicle. The driver was a 35-year-old man. While checking his documents, officers grew suspicious about the authenticity of his driving licence. A check through the National Police's unified database confirmed their suspicions: the series and number on the document belonged to a different person entirely. The driver did not deny the forgery and admitted he had purchased the licence online. An investigative and operational team was dispatched to the scene to establish all the circumstances of the case. Police remind the public that using forged documents carries legal liability. Only officially obtained documents should be used.
