During the overnight curfew, patrol police officers stopped a Yamaha scooter on highway P-69 near the village of Vypovziv in Chernihiv Oblast. The rider, a 19-year-old woman, showed visible signs of intoxication. A breathalyser test using a Dräger device confirmed a blood alcohol level of 1.30 per mille. Officers also established that the woman held no driving licence. Inspectors drew up administrative offence reports under Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences (operating a vehicle while intoxicated) and Article 126 (operating a vehicle without the appropriate licence). The woman was removed from the scooter and prohibited from continuing to drive. Police remind the public that getting behind the wheel is permitted only when sober and only when the driver holds the relevant documents.
