Veterans Who Lost Their Sight Can Receive Up to 95,000 Hryvnias in Assistance

A new support programme is launching for combat veterans who have fully or partially lost their sight, offering a one-time cash payment of up to 95,000 hryvnias to purchase household appliances.

Ukraine is launching a support project for veterans who fully or partially lost their sight while defending the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the country. Combat participants with the relevant status are eligible to receive a one-time cash payment of up to 95,000 hryvnias. The funds are intended for the purchase of household appliances from a defined list, to help veterans arrange their daily living environment. Residents of Chernihiv and Chernihiv Oblast who are entitled to this assistance are encouraged to contact their local social protection authorities or veterans' organisations to clarify the eligibility conditions and the procedure for submitting the required documents.
