Rain is affecting road conditions throughout Chernihiv Oblast, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of accidents. The main hazards include reduced visibility, longer braking distances, and the danger of losing vehicle control during sudden maneuvers. Drivers are advised to reduce their speed, increase the following distance, and maintain a safe gap between vehicles. It is also important to keep windows and mirrors clean, and to brake well in advance before pedestrian crossings — even when no pedestrians are visible. Staying attentive and cautious behind the wheel during bad weather is the best way to avoid emergency situations on the road.
