Chernihiv patrol officers find and return missing 9-year-old boy to his mother

Chernihiv patrol police located a 9-year-old boy who went missing after failing to return to a playground at the agreed time. The child was found on Traktorna Street and reunited with his mother.

Late yesterday evening, a Chernihiv resident called the emergency line 102 to report that her 9-year-old son had gone missing. According to the woman, the boy had left home and was supposed to wait for her at a nearby playground, but he did not appear there at the agreed time. A patrol police crew was dispatched to the scene immediately. The officers recorded the child's description and broadcast a search alert over the radio. While searching the surrounding area, a rapid-response patrol crew spotted the boy on Traktorna Street. The child was unharmed. The boy was returned to his mother. Officers held a preventive conversation with the woman, and the incident was reported to juvenile prevention service staff.
