Drunk driver in Chernihiv tried to bribe patrol officers

A Chernihiv driver caught behind the wheel while intoxicated attempted to bribe patrol police officers and has been charged under administrative law.

Another attempt to avoid accountability for drunk driving has been recorded in Chernihiv. A local driver stopped by patrol officers offered them a bribe in an effort to escape punishment. The officers refused the unlawful offer and acted in accordance with the law. An administrative report was drawn up against the offender on two counts: driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and attempting to bribe police officers. Chernihiv police remind the public that driving while intoxicated is a serious violation of traffic regulations and poses a direct threat to the life and health of all road users.
