Shahed drone strike on Chernihiv: two injured, fire breaks out, six buildings damaged

On the evening of August 25, a Russian Shahed kamikaze drone struck a residential house in Chernihiv, injuring a child and a woman, starting a fire, and damaging at least six buildings.

According to updated information from the Chernihiv City Council press service, a Russian Shahed-type strike drone hit a private house in Chernihiv on the evening of August 25. Two people were injured in the strike: a boy estimated to be around 11 to 12 years old and a woman. A fire broke out on the grounds of the private property where the drone hit, engulfing both the residential building and an outbuilding. The blast wave also damaged at least five other private homes in the vicinity of the impact site. Details on the condition of the injured and the progress of rescue operations are still being confirmed.
