Late last night, during the active curfew, patrol police officers stopped a Mitsubishi ASX on Parkova Street in Chernihiv. The driver turned out to be a 45-year-old local resident. Officers noticed visible signs of alcohol intoxication and administered a breathalyzer test using a Dräger device. The result came back at 1.85 per mille, almost nine times above the permitted level. An administrative report was drawn up against the woman under Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences, which covers driving a vehicle while intoxicated. She was immediately removed from behind the wheel and prohibited from continuing to drive. Police remind the public: if you have consumed alcohol, leave your car and use another safe means of transport.
