At around 3 a.m., a call came in to the emergency line 102 with a report that unknown individuals had allegedly nailed shut the front door of the caller's apartment on Myr Avenue in Chernihiv. A patrol crew was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, officers found that the information provided did not correspond to reality: no damage to the front door or any other circumstances mentioned in the call were discovered. Following the check, inspectors drew up an administrative report against the man under Article 183 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences — "Knowingly false call to emergency services." The penalty under this article ranges from 850 to 3,400 hryvnias. Police remind the public that every false call wastes the time and resources of emergency services that may be urgently needed by someone who genuinely requires help.
