Chernihiv residents protest for third consecutive day against dismissal of Defence Minister Federov

Demonstrations continued on July 18 at Chernihiv's Krasna Square, with protesters demanding the reinstatement of Mykhailo Federov as Defence Minister and the resignation of Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.

For the third day running, Chernihiv residents have gathered at the city's Krasna Square to voice their opposition to the dismissal of Defence Minister Mykhailo Federov. The rally on July 18 drew protesters who called for Federov's reinstatement to his post as Ukraine's Minister of Defence. Demonstrators also demanded the resignation of Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi. The protest, held in the centre of Chernihiv, has continued uninterrupted for three consecutive days.
