Fifteen-year-old Diana Nasibova from Chernihiv Oblast has been named a laureate of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's patriotic initiative 'Children Heroes.' For four years, the girl has gone to her local market every weekend, rain or shine, to sell handmade beaded jewelry and sing for passersby, raising funds to support Ukrainian military personnel. Over that period, Diana has collected more than 7 million hryvnias. With those funds, she purchased and handed over to defenders six vehicles, thermal imaging devices and night-vision equipment, radios, generators, ammunition, and other essential gear. In addition, she directed more than 70,000 hryvnias toward medical treatment for wounded soldiers.
