Chief Accountant at Chernihiv Oblast Hospital Suspected of Illegally Inflating Salaries

A hospital official in Chernihiv Oblast has been served a suspicion notice after allegedly accruing more than 340,000 hryvnias in excess wages for her colleagues.

Law enforcement officers in Chernihiv Oblast have formally notified the chief accountant of a local hospital that she is suspected of a criminal offence. According to investigators, the official illegally calculated and accrued more than 340,000 hryvnias in excess salary payments for her colleagues, causing material damage to the state-funded institution. Authorities have opened a pre-trial investigation under the relevant article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine pertaining to abuse of official position.
