Citizens who survived captivity or unlawful deprivation of liberty as a result of Russian aggression are now entitled to have lost driver's licences or vehicle registration certificates restored free of charge at Ministry of Internal Affairs service centres. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the corresponding decision today. The benefit may be used once within one year of release from captivity. The decision also addresses the situation of persons who have gone missing under special circumstances. Guardians appointed to manage the property of such individuals are now authorised to restore vehicle registration certificates in the name of the missing person and to lawfully administer that property in the owner's interests. Residents of Chernihiv who meet these conditions are encouraged to contact their nearest Ministry of Internal Affairs service centre.
