Water Main Break Leaves Parts of Chernihiv Without Water Until 29 May

A burst on a water main on Pylyp Morachevsky Street has cut off water supply to private homes on several streets. Restoration is expected by 20:00 on 29 May 2026.

Emergency repair works are under way in Chernihiv following a rupture in a 100 mm water main at 34 Pylyp Morachevsky Street. The works began on 25 May 2026 at 16:30. Due to complications encountered during the repair, the expected restoration deadline has been pushed back — water supply is now expected to be restored by 20:00 on 29 May 2026. The outage affects private residential properties at the following addresses: • Pylyp Morachevsky Street — buildings No. 19 to 41 and No. 34 to 60; • Patriarch Mstyslav Street, No. 59A; • Stepan Nos Lane — No. 2A, 8, 8A, 8B, 8C, 10, 12, 12A, 12B, 12C, 14A, 14B, 16A, 16B, 18A, 22.
