Chernihiv and Aachen Strengthen Partnership: Cities Exchange Original Partnership Agreement

Representatives of the Chernihiv City Council attended the 8th German-Ukrainian Municipal Partnership Conference in Berlin and exchanged original copies of a regular partnership agreement with Aachen.

Representatives of the Chernihiv City Council took part in the 8th German-Ukrainian Municipal Partnership Conference, held in Berlin. The event brought together representatives of Ukrainian and German communities to share experience, discuss current challenges, and seek joint solutions in the field of inter-municipal cooperation. A key moment for Chernihiv was the official exchange of original copies of the regular partnership agreement with the German city of Aachen. Cooperation between the two cities was launched in May 2023 and is now entering a qualitatively new phase. Among the promising areas for further collaboration are joint projects, the development of education, culture and youth policy, the improvement of municipal governance, and support for the city's recovery.
