Yesterday, at around 9 p.m., inspectors at the Kipti road patrol police station stopped a Fiat Doblo. A 47-year-old man was behind the wheel. During the roadside check, patrol officers noticed visible signs of alcohol intoxication. The man agreed to undergo an on-the-spot test using a Dräger breathalyser, which returned a result of 1.99 promille. In addition, while checking the driver's documents, officers found that the licence presented showed signs of forgery. According to the National Police unified database, the document's series and number belong to a different individual. An investigative and operational team was called to the scene to establish all the circumstances of the incident. The man was cited under Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was removed from behind the wheel, and further questioning was handed over to an investigator.
