Safe Schools Are a Shared Responsibility of Parents and Teachers

A reminder of which items are prohibited on school grounds and what consequences may follow if they are found.

School is a space where children learn, communicate, and spend a significant part of their day. To keep the educational environment safe, educational security inspectors are assigned to schools across the city. At the same time, parents play a crucial role. Remind your children of the rules of conduct and explain which dangerous items and substances are prohibited from being brought to school. Legislation defines the list of such items. These include: — weapons, ammunition, and objects that imitate weapons; — explosive and flammable items; — gas canisters and other special-purpose devices; — dangerous tools and equipment; — alcohol, beer, low-alcohol beverages, and energy drinks; — tobacco products, electronic cigarettes, and related liquids. If prohibited items are discovered, parents or legal guardians may be called in for a preventive discussion, and in certain cases may be held liable in accordance with the law. Safety begins with the attention and responsibility of every one of us.
