Water Main Break Cuts Supply to Seven Homes on Heroes of Mariupol Street

A burst on a private water line in Chernihiv left seven private houses on Heroes of Mariupol Street without water supply on 22 August 2026. Drinking water delivery will be arranged for affected residents.

At 13:40 on 22 August 2026, water supply was cut off in Chernihiv following a rupture in a private 50 mm water main at the intersection of Heroes of Mariupol Street and Panas Myrnyi Street. The following private residential addresses have been left without water: — Heroes of Mariupol Street, Nos. 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54. Municipal utility KP Chernihivvodokanal has confirmed that drinking water will be delivered to the affected addresses. Important: the water line in question is privately owned and is not on the balance sheet of the municipal utility. Under current regulations, repairs and restoration of water supply are the responsibility of the network's owners, who must carry out and fund the work themselves.
