Water main break on Svyatoslavska Street leaves several homes without supply

Water supply to residential buildings at 17A–35 Svyatoslavska Street in Chernihiv was cut off from 09:00 on 15 August 2026 following a burst on a private pipeline. Drinking water delivery has been arranged for affected residents.

A break occurred on 15 August 2026 at 09:00 on a private water pipeline with a diameter of 50 mm at 25 Svyatoslavska Street in Chernihiv. As a result, water supply was shut off to residents of the following private houses on Svyatoslavska Street: 17A, 19, 21, 23, 23A, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, and 35. Because the pipeline is privately owned, responsibility for its repair lies with the property owners. They may carry out the work independently at their own expense or enter into a separate contract with the municipal utility Chernihivvodokanal to have the company's specialists perform the repairs. Vodokanal recommends that the owners coordinate and organise the repair jointly, as the network serves several households.
