Suspilne has compiled a digest of the most significant events of the week relating to Chernihiv and Chernihiv Oblast. Ten-year-old Matviy shared how he survived his injuries during the Russian attack on an ATB supermarket in Chernihiv. According to the boy, his grandmother shielded him with her body at the moment of impact. Chernihiv held farewell ceremonies for two women, both named Viktoria, who were killed when a Russian drone struck the same store. Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has launched a project under which more than 50 houses in Chernihiv Oblast are planned to be purchased for internally displaced persons. Farmers in Chernihiv Oblast have encountered serious difficulties at the start of the harvest season, with a risk that crop collection could be halted due to a number of problems facing the agricultural sector. A surgeon from Chernihiv spoke about her experience restoring the faces of wounded soldiers, saying it is an experience she wishes she had never had to gain.
